What is an “Assisted Living” facility?

Assisted Living combines housing and supportive health care services for those who cannot or prefer not to live alone and don’t need the 24-hour skilled medical care of a nursing home.  It is specifically designed to provide assistance to those who still want their independence but need help with activities of daily living such as dressing, bathing, and taking medication.  Assisted Living bridges the gap between the independence of retirement living and the total reliance upon long-term nursing care, and promotes maximum privacy, security, respect, and independence.


Do I need to make an appointment to take a tour?

When are visiting hours?

Our facility is open to client friends and families for visiting 24-hours every day.


What is the staffing ratio at @The Right Place?

We maintain a 4:1 ratio, which means each caring staff member is never responsible for any more than four people at one time. 


Is there cable TV and phone service available?

Cable television and long-distance phone services are available at no extra charge, as well as DSL internet service for those individuals who are active on the internet.


Who owns the facility?

We are locally owned and operated.  Our owners, Rachel and Abril, are heavily involved in the management at @The Right Place and often work at the facility as well.  All owners and operators have many years of experience in the healthcare and nursing-home industry.


What personal items will I need to bring?

We encourage families to bring any items from home in order to create a more comfortable environment. Bedroom furniture, pictures and other personal items are welcomed.


Do you have private rooms?  Do you have furnished rooms?

Yes, we offer private. semi-private rooms, furnished and unfurnished rooms.


What is included in the monthly rent?

All amenities previously mentioned are included in the monthly rent.


What about a deposit?

There are no deposits required to secure a spot, and there is a “no rent increase” guarantee.  No contracts need to be signed.


Is the neighborhood safe?

Our facility is located in a newer, upscale area of Denton that has a reputation for being a safe part of town.  We regularly conduct security checks of the facility, and our staff monitors all activities on a 24-hour basis.


What about transportation?

We do not provide transportation.  We can arrange transportation with the DCTA with advanced notice.
